Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use collab.build, a project space, or a simulation we share with you. They keep our work together clear and confidential. By signing in, you agree to them.
1. Access by invitation
Collab invites each person to the projects they work on. Keep your sign-in details and access codes private, use them only for yourself, and tell us right away at info@collab.nyc if you think someone else has them. We may pause or end access to protect a project.
2. Confidentiality, both ways
We keep the materials you share with us confidential and use them only for your project. In return, you keep confidential what we share with you, including simulations, concepts, designs, pricing, schedules and code, and share it only with people in your organization who need it for the project, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Ownership
Your materials remain yours. Collab's simulations, previews, designs, software and methods remain Collab's until a signed agreement transfers or licenses specific rights. When you send feedback or ideas, you allow us to use them to improve the project and our work.
4. Simulations and previews
Simulations show how an experience could work so we can decide together what to build. They are working sketches: content is often placeholder, features may change, and some parts are simulated. They are provided as-is, for discussion, and are not final deliverables.
5. Using the Service well
Use the Service only for the project you were invited to. Do not try to access other projects or accounts, test or bypass security, upload anything unlawful or harmful, or copy the Service for another purpose.
6. Service providers and availability
The Service runs on trusted providers described in our Privacy Statement. We work to keep it available and secure, and some interruptions are outside our control.
7. Limits of responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Collab is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service, or for incidents at third-party providers that are beyond our reasonable control. In those cases, we will notify affected clients promptly and work to resolve the issue, as described in our Privacy Statement. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
8. Signed agreements come first
If your organization has a signed agreement, statement of work or NDA with Collab, it governs our relationship and takes priority over these terms wherever they differ.
9. Ending access
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may end access when a project concludes or if these terms are not followed. Confidentiality and ownership terms continue after access ends.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes will be handled in the courts located in New York, New York.
11. Changes
When we update these terms, we change the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new version.
